Unfortunately we haven't traveled much lately, so we've gotten behind in adding to our blog.  We will add updates if we do anything interesting!!!  We will be heading back to Florida on October 12th - the day after Thanksgiving in Canada.

Yesterday we took a day trip to see the Big Chute Marine Railway, which is a unique lock system that lifts one to six boats from one level of the waterway to the next. See my annotated photos. It is very fast - about ten minutes per trip. The boats are sailed into the chute and fastened. Then a system of cables controls the chute as it goes from one level to the next. Then the boats are quickly sailed off and the next set of boats are loaded.

I'm not getting too far with this summer's blog. Sorry!! I'll make an effort to take some photos and update the blog. I did kayak a couple of times, but I have to wait for the photos from my friends. Ciao, Bob
